Introduction
The Cibo labs Farm Assessment allows you to request a farm assessment assisting you to you are working towards verifying your farms status to comply with new and emerging market requirements associated with either the European Union Deforestation Free Beef Regulations (EUDR) and or, the Accountability Framework Initiative (Afi).
The Cibo Labs Deforestation Detection Service reviews your farm map (a selection of parcels defining the legal boundaries: polygon) for potential woody vegetation disturbances using National Forest and Sparse Woody Vegetation Data, the Queensland Statewide Landcover and Trees Study (SLATS), and NASA OPERA near real-time vegetation disturbance alerts. If a loss of woody vegetation is confirmed, the area undergoes further analysis to assess the confidence that the loss complies with the EUDR and AFi deforestation standards.
This assessment incorporates additional ancillary datasets, including Esri Wayback high-resolution imagery, Sentinel-2, and Australian land-use mapping. If desktop analysis results in low confidence, an assessor will contact you, and will invite you to provide supplementary evidence that may increase confidence in the compliance of the vegetation loss with the EUDR and AFi.
Data Sharing Agreement
By requesting a Farm assessment via Cibo labs, you consent to the sharing of the assessment results and associated geolocation data with any parties selected enabling their review of assessment results. This data sharing is strictly for the purpose of identifying farm compliance with the Afi and or EUDR to ensure maintained market access for your business.

Only de-identified data is shared with the permissioned supply chain partners who submit a PIC query. The data shared includes the assessment result and farm geolocation information for compliance with required markets. Rest assured that your data will be securely stored using the same advanced industry systems that currently safeguard producer data in compliance with the Cibo labs privacy policy. Access to this data will be restricted to the named supply chain actors who require it for the specified purposes and will not be used for any other purpose. Your participation is vital to maintaining transparency and supporting the integrity of the supply chain with continued market access under these new industry claims and requests.
