How to Migrate my PastureKey Service onto the Cibo labs Platform?

After the release of PastureKey's new functionality and enhancements in April 2025 migration of current PastureKey services including paddocks is key to optimising the benefits of the upgrade.

To commence the migration process a user must have already purchased a PastureKey subscription and accessed their farm and paddocks via historical PastureKey webmap URL's. 

With the simplified, smarter service the migration helps move paddocks across with minimal additional input required to access your upgraded service. Follow the steps below to migrate and activate your service or watch this youtube video on Migrating your PastureKey service; 

Step 1 - Login to the Cibo Labs account of who owns the PastureKey service, if you are unsure or don't have an account see; How to set up or sign in to your Cibo labs account. 

Step 2 - Once logged in; select 'Migrate'

Step 3 - A setup your PastureKey service page should arise, prompting you to select an available Cibo Labs Farms, linking the Farm to your PastureKey service. Be sure to select the correct farm or 'Create a new farm'*

Step 3A - 'Create a new Farm' - if you have selected this option you will be required to confirm your farm parcel boundaries, these have been preselected based on your PastureKey paddocks. Be sure to select or deselect parcels to ensure your farm selection is correct for data processing and imagery availability. 

Step 3B - If you have selected a current Cibo Labs Farm, you will be encouraged to confirm your parcels are accurate in the Edit Farm function. 

Step 4 - Processing of your paddock data in the Cibo Labs platform will commence immediately. For three or less paddocks your farm should take up to 30 mins although for larger farms with multiple paddocks your processing request may take up to 8 hours.

An email will be sent confirming the processing of your PastureKey service is completed. 

Step 5 - Access your migrated PastureKey service through the Cibo Labs Map. All functions are available whilst in your PastureKey layers such as data downloads and the auto-populated forage budget calculator for quick decision-making on your forage budgets. 

Finally, to share access to your PastureKey service we request that you add users to your account to share subscribed services. This provides you with the ability to control the level of responsibility a user has over your service including billing, manage and view access for a range of employees.
