What is the Australian Feedbase Monitor (AFM)?
The Australian Feedbase Monitor is an introductory level service that delivers moderate resolution (one hectare) satellite products and graphs at monthly intervals via a personalised online portal.
This tool might appeal to you if you want to:
- Access a 'birds-eye-view' of your pasture biomass and ground cover at the property scale (updated every 5 days).
- Track how your property-level feed supply is changing through the year.
- Identify areas of your property with high levels of senesced biomass and ground cover for managing wildfire risk and prescribed burning programs.
- Compare pasture biomass levels back to 2017.
- Explore satellite assisted feed budgeting for free* before making a decision to invest in the PastureKey subscription service.

*Access to the Australian Feedbase Monitor is free if you are an MLA member. You can also sign up for a 30 day free trial, after which there is an annual $90 (excl. GST) subscription fee.
